He is an oddity in the world of the 1930’s to 1940’s,due to him being smarter than people stereotype him to be.The protagonist has a lot to carry on his shoulders just for being smarter,he has to teach others the basics of school,and has to teach a man on death row just to prove that he will die as a man not an animal.His feelings to all of this is negative,he just wants to run away from all his problems with his lover and never look back.

The sole reason I choose A lesson before Dying was its title.The title is a very important aspect to a book, in just the title alone a book can catch someone’s attention and that is what it did to me
